Mock Trial Competition
The annual Mock Trial competition is sponsored by the Young Lawyers’
Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and administered at the county level by our own Bar
Association’s Mock Trial Committee.
The Committee assists groups from regional high schools
to put on a trial with a given fact pattern. Each high school’s team presents the case for
the plaintiff and the defendant and provides actors for witnesses and other necessary participants
in the trial.
The winner from the regional competition then advances to compete with other county
winners across the state and, if successful, can go on to the national competition. The program
allows high school students to learn first hand about our system of justice.
